Records Division provides the following services:

• Taxi Permits
• Gun Permits
• Criminal History Checks
• Copies of Incident Reports & Info-only Reports

Records Division also keeps a current copy of local warrants and the Sex Offender book. This information is provided upon request.

Taxi Permits

$5.00 and $3.00 for renewal
Taxi permits are good for one (1) full year
To be eligible for taxi permits, one must:

• not have any felony convictions
• not have any misdemeanor convictions within three (3) years of application

Gun Permits

$10.00 Handling Fee for a 4 yr. permit at the time of applicatioon, plus a $15 Postal Money Order to be sent to the State Police at the time of submission.

To be eligible for an Indiana gun permit through the City of Richmond, one must:

• not have any felony convictions
• not have any domestic battery convictions
• live within city limits
• have picture ID with current address.
